When we come to Christ, we relinquish our old selves—the "I" that was crucified with Him—along with our ego, plans, and will, replacing them with Christ living in us. We are in Him, and He is in us, enveloping us completely as His dwelling place. We no longer face the world alone, for it is God who moves in us to will and act according to His good pleasure. He resides within us because He has made us holy, righteous, and pure. We take comfort and find rest in our new position, embraced by His presence. Our inner selves are renewed and transformed, enlightened to our new creation, seeing with the eyes of our hearts a reality no longer of this world. We rest in the vision of the new life God has created for us, a life where we embody His desires and bring Him joy as His children. Do our self-perceptions align with God’s vision of who we now are? It’s truly not about us; let us surrender to God’s view of us and live out this new life in the light of His truth.
