With forgiveness, we release the transient for the eternal, exchanging our judgments and the world's judgments for God's perspective. We often define ourselves and others by earthly standards: what we've done, and how we've been treated. These temporal evaluations can trap us in cycles of hurt and resentment. However, the life Christ offers tells a different story. Despite feeling insignificant or burdened by our failures and others' wrongdoings, God's hand reaches out, offering an incomprehensible gift. He created us in His image, yet we often fail to see it. Through His Son, He has provided the ultimate sacrifice, liberating us from the shackles of our sins and the judgments we hold against ourselves and others. God calls us to release these burdens and embrace His forgiveness. He asks us to extend the same grace and kindness to ourselves and others, as He has extended to us, promising rest and peace. Today, take it slow and be extra kind to yourself and those around you. God's hand of kindness is ever-present, inviting us all to find rest in Him. Forgive as God has forgiven, for He is our example and our source of eternal peace.
