Finding Peace in Christ

Peace I leave with you; My perfect peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge. (John 14:27)

Christ bestows upon us a peace that transcends the ever-changing patterns of this world. Unlike the fleeting and conditional peace offered by the world, Christ’s peace is not dependent on our possessions, achievements, or circumstances. Before knowing Christ, we often sought identity and security in transient things, leaving us vulnerable to the shifting sands of life's uncertainties. In Christ, however, we discover a new and eternal identity that remains unshaken by worldly changes. His peace is anchored in the unchanging truth of His sacrifice for us, bringing us into a restored relationship with the Father. Through His redeeming work, we are made holy, righteous, and pure. Thus, the peace Christ gives is eternal, immovable, steadfast, and secure, grounded not in our own strength, but in the finished work of Jesus on the cross.
