69 - Enveloped In Christ

He raised us up together with Him when we believed, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, because we are in Christ Jesus (Eph 2:6 AMP)

Before coming to Christ, our only reality and perspective were based on our worldly existence—what we could see and touch, the creations of human hands. Our focus was on how we fit in, what we did or didn't do. Our identity grew and evolved according to how we perceived ourselves and how we felt others perceived us, based on the patterns set by this world.

But now, by coming to believe in the Lord—that is, to adhere to, trust in, and rely on Jesus as Christ and Savior—we have been ushered into a new way, a new truth, and a new life through a rebirth, a recreation, renewed and transformed. Our reality, perception, and perspective are entirely new. In Christ, seated with Him in the heavenly places and with Him in us, we are utterly enveloped in a new and glorious reality, ever-present with the Lord.

We are never alone. We find comfort in knowing that with every step in our walk here on earth, our perception and perspective transcend all we see, touch, and experience. Every thought, feeling, and emotion is brought in line with a transcendent new vision of ourselves.

The next time you lift your eyes and cry out to the heavens or raise your arms in praise and worship, take a moment to wrap yourself in your ever-present reality in Christ and filled with Christ.
